Hi! You don't know me at all, but I accidently ran across your blog while trying to get some REAL tacos in Cape Town (I started seaching for them about 12 years ago, and I see it's no better now than it was then....) Then I see you were also at UCSC. Small World! (although you are young and I am old :). I want to know if you ever found masa harina or a close second in CT.
andrew - i don't think there is any cpx (and I'm cheating, I have a thin section of this rock). So... I don't know. the bs/ec boundary gets fuzzier for me the more i learn about it. kate - the only real tacos I know of are at my house. If you find others you must inform me immediately. no suitable substitute exists for masa harina.
I thought garnets + glaucophane was pretty much eclogite. Was there a little green omphacite too?
